Microsoft and Meta, Facebook’s parent company, have collaborated to combine Teams and Workplace. Companies that utilize both platforms can test the integration for free. Workers may access Workplace content, including a reduced version of the Workplace news feed, via a pinned tab in Teams without having to switch between applications. They may also react to and comment on Workplace posts in Teams.
Companies will be able to stream Teams sessions to Workplace groups beginning next year. As a result, you’ll be able to stream meetings and events in either app or later on Workplace.
Meta and Microsoft have already collaborated on various fronts to bring their corporate and productivity solutions together. Office 365 products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint and OneDrive, are currently available on Workplace. Workplace is also linked to Azure Active Directory.
Furthermore, Meta just announced that Teams would be accessible on Meta Portal products in December. The devices will be usable for Teams video calls.
As Meta has an unwavering focus on the metaverse with a vision on how virtual reality will impact the future of work, a Microsoft Teams connection on Meta Quest headsets would not be surprising. After all, Meta just added Slack and Dropbox to Quest 2.
