With the holiday shopping season of 2021 nearing its end, Google is introducing a few new features to Chrome to help you locate last-minute discounts. The Android version of the browser now has an improved tab layout in the United States, making it simpler to view the price of anything while navigating between open websites. According to the company, the feature will allow you to identify a price cut without having to continually reload a website. Nice, right?

When you launch Chrome on your iPhone or Android device, you’ll see a new Google Lens symbol in the search bar. It can be used to do visual searches. Point your phone’s camera towards something and tap the symbol. Lens integration in Chrome mobile, according to the company, might be useful for window shopping.

Lens will also be available on the Mac and Windows versions of Chrome, as previously stated. When it’s ready, you’ll be able to right-click on a picture, select “Search images with Google Lens” and draw an outline around anything to see if you can find out more about what’s in front of you.

Finally, if you have a habit of leaving purchases unfinished, you’ll see a new “Your carts” card when you open a tab. It will display all of the websites on which you have open carts. This feature was unveiled at I/O 2021 and is now being rolled out in the United States. If Google notices that you abandoned a cart, certain of its retail partners may give you a discount to finish your purchase. Kind of assertive? Certainly, but it may also be useful to certain people.
