Adjustable dumbbells may be quite handy in a home gym, but the necessity to manually adjust weight can be inconvenient when attempting to keep your heart rate up in the middle of a workout. The NordicTrack badge from iFit may have a solution: ask Alexa to do the job. The company has released the iSelect Adjustable Dumbbells, which can be used with an Alexa-enabled third-party device to easily alter the weight from 5lbs to 50lbs (in 5lb increments) through a motorized selector. For common workouts like bicep curls and deadlifts, you may set precise weights, adjust weights by relative amounts, or use presets.
The dumbbells are designed to work well with iFit’s $39 per month exercise subscription, though you don’t really need it. On the weight tray, there’s also a tablet holder so you can take your personal screen and service. Although it’s best when you don’t want to take up too much room or if you don’t want to embrace the TV.NordicTrack dumbbells are now available for $429 on Amazon. This is more expensive than many traditional adjustable sets, but you might not mind if the quickness of adjustments is more important to you than the price. Other adjustable sets don’t provide this amount of adaptability – the 5lb increments might allow you gradually progress to bigger weights.
