Twitter Communities, a topic-based groups feature that debuted last year on iOS and the web, is now available on Android. You’ll be able to locate groups relating to your hobbies and interact with like-minded people in the latest edition of Twitter’s Android app.
Plants, skincare, space, design, fashion, Xbox, and R&B are just some of the communities available. There’s even one where you can post your Wordle scores without irritating your followers.
Although users cannot build their own community as readily as they can a Facebook Group or subreddit, they can propose a new one that they would want to start and monitor. Twitter promises to keep them in mind as it expands its community offerings.Twitter has also revealed some of its other Community-related goals for 2022. For one thing, it’s considering a third sort of membership, in addition to invite-only and open-to-all, in which users can request to join. Admins and mods would have the option of granting or denying the request. A ranking timeline (albeit the chronological timeline will remain available), Q&As, and opportunities for mods to showcase some of a community’s greatest contributions are also in the works.
