Twitter’s character limit has expanded from 140 to 280 throughout the years to offer users full freedom in what they want to express. However, this is not always sufficient, which is why the term “tweetstorm” was invented to describe a sequence of interrelated tweets. People will also occasionally submit photographs of long messages. According to a new finding, Twitter is working on a new feature that would cater to the demands of individuals who wish to publish their opinions on the website in a single lengthy piece.

An experimental “Twitter Articles” tab feature may allow anyone to upload bite-sized text messages, although its specific nature remains unknown for the time being. It’s also unknown if it’ll be available to everyone, if it makes it to a wider release, or if it’ll be limited to Twitter Blue subscribers only.

Not everyone is on board with the notion, though. Someone suggested that it would limit Twitter engagement because a thread of tweets frequently receives several replies and answers from the same persons. According to a Twitter spokesperson, the company is “always looking into new ways to help people start and engage in conversations” and will release more information shortly.
