
Netflix, the TV streaming giant, will soon launch its first first-person shooter (FPS) title called “Into the Dead 2: Unleashed”. It has also expanded its game roster with two more titles: “Shatter Remastered” and “This Is A True Story.” These mobile games are available on iOS and Android and are accessible through a subscription to the streaming service.
Netflix is still in the initial days of its video-game strategy. It is rapidly expanding its selection of games inside the app since the launch of Netflix Games in November 2021. Netflix brought its own roster of games into existence with five titles. They have expanded it to 14 games till now. Subscribers can access these with no additional charges, ads, or in-app purchases.
Its first first-person shooter title is expected to be released later this month. “Into the Dead 2: Unleashed” is the name of its maiden first-person shooter gaming content. It is a world overrun with zombies wherein you need to save your family by arming yourself with powerful weapons. This zombie-apocalypse game is touted as the ‘ultimate runner/shooter hybrid’.
“Shatter Remastered,” is a retro-inspired brick-breaking game that’s designed as a distinctive combo of classic action unique twists, and excellent boss battles. “This Is A True Story” is an educational role-playing game depicting the true story of the struggle of a Sub-Saharan African woman in getting water for her family.
Netflix’s Games’ roster is a blend of diverse genre games comprising casual puzzles, card games, scrolling arcade-style titles, etc.
Its announcement to launch its maiden FPS or first-person shooter title is a clear indication of its goal to appeal to a broad segment of gaming aficionados and to improve its interactive category.
Netflix’s gaming lineup include “Stranger Things”, “Arcanium: Rise of Akhan,” “Asphalt Xtreme,” “Bowling Ballers,” “Card Blast,” “Dominoes Café, “Dungeon Dwarves,” “Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story,” “Knittens,” “Krispee Street,” “Shooting Hoops,” “Teeter (Up)” and “Wonderputt Forever.”.
