Here is a huge change coming with iOS17! Retrain your thumbs to receive the new update.
Apple’s red end-call button is set to slightly move with upcoming iOS 17 updates to the phone app.iPhone users are acquainted with the “End” button currently placed prominently away from other call options, in a center position towards the bottom of the screen. But with iOS 17, the red icon will move to the right, with other features joining it. The “Mute,” “Speaker,” “FaceTime” and “Keyboards” also changed their position. The “FaceTime” button will now take over the position of the “End Call” button.
What lies next to “FaceTime” will be the “Keyboard” button. It appears that the feature which allows users to search for contacts has been merged with the add call option. It still remains unsure whether the call functions will change further before iOS 17 officially rolls out. The changes are not permanent until the actual update is sent to devices. The beta version is trying out the feature with selected users sending feedback to Apple.
Beyond this relocation of the call icon, iOS 17 is planning to bring an array of new features to Apple customers like better autocorrect, a new journal app, and live voicemail transcription.
