Google to Introduce Emoji Reactions Feature for Gmail on Android and iOS

Gmail users, be ready for a completely new way of communication!

Google’s well-known email client, Gmail, has been undergoing modifications with new features added to it to improve efficiency. Now, Gmail may soon get a new emoji reaction feature that will enable users to respond to emails with emojis on both iOS and Android. The capability that is already present in Microsoft Outlook is comparable to this one.

The feature will add an emoji button next to the three-dot menu on the right side of the email. Users can quickly respond to emails by choosing an emoji from a list of options by clicking this icon. Users can select any emoji to be included as a reaction option by tapping the “+” icon located next to the emojis. When someone responds to an email using the official Gmail apps for Android or iOS and the recipient is also using these platforms, it is intended that the responses will be shown at the bottom of the email thread. A separate email with the subject line “(emoji) (name) reacted via Gmail on (date)” will most likely be sent to the recipient if they are using a different email service or client. Emojis cannot be used to reply to emails sent to a large number of recipients, and users are not permitted to send more than 20 in a single message.  The precise release date of this feature has not been disclosed by Google. But we can say that emoji reactions are coming and will probably show up in the Gmail app on Android and iOS sooner rather than later.

Get ready to express yourself with emojis in your Gmail conversations.
