Microsoft 365 Copilot, the enterprise-oriented AI chatbot, is set to receive a range of exciting new features. Microsoft is enhancing its suite of applications with several updates, including the introduction of a new Copilot Page feature.  This new AI feature enables multiple users to collaborate on a project. Additionally, Microsoft is launching Copilot Agents—specialized mini chatbots tailored for specific tasks within enterprise environments. The company also revealed that further updates are expected in the coming two months.

In a recent blog post, the company highlighted new features of its business-oriented Copilot. One standout addition is Copilot Pages, which facilitates collaboration among enterprise users. This feature enables the creation of a shared workspace where both Copilot and human team members can contribute and modify project information collectively.

Customers can utilize this feature by initiating a query in Copilot. The response is then generated as a separate page that can be accessed by other users within the organization. This page functions like a Word document, allowing users to insert tables, links, text, and images. Additionally, users can instruct Copilot to include more information as needed. Microsoft announced that this feature is currently in beta for select businesses and will be widely available later this month.

Microsoft 365 apps are also getting new AI capabilities. For example, Copilot in Excel now with Python, enables users without coding knowledge to perform complex analyses such as forecasting, risk assessments, and machine learning tasks. Users can execute these functions simply by entering natural language prompts into the chatbot. This feature is currently available in public preview. A new feature coming to Microsoft PowerPoint is called Narrative Builder, which uses Copilot to create a presentation’s first draft with a single prompt. This feature generates an outline with editable topics. Looking ahead, users will have the option to upload files to the outline, enabling the AI to produce a more polished and detailed draft.

Now, Copilot in Teams can handle chat conversations that consist of both written and spoken language, combining the two to produce a more accurate transcript. Additionally, Outlook will gain a Prioritize feature that will scan the inbox and highlight emails that require the user to take immediate action. Users will be able to instruct Copilot on crucial subjects, words, or individuals in the future. Emails that contain them will be given top priority. This year, the feature will become accessible.

Users of Microsoft Word will be able to refer to emails and meetings alongside their documents later this month with the help of Copilot. By entering a simple prompt, users can instruct the AI to pull context from these sources to create a draft. Additionally, OneDrive will get an AI feature that analyzes files stored in the cloud, assisting users in locating the content they need more efficiently.

Enterprise users are now finally receiving access to Copilot Agents. These can be viewed as miniature chatbots that can be configured to perform particular tasks. Additionally, the chatbot can be tailored using particular datasets to guarantee that the output is relevant and accurate. Since these are autonomous agents, users do not have to continuously send prompts to them to complete a task.
