According to a credible source, Microsoft stopped selling downloads on January 31st as part of an effort to wind down support for Windows 10 Home and Pro. That day “will be the last day this Windows 10 download [and all-important license keys] are offered for sale,” according to Microsoft. It will, however, continue to support Windows 10 with security updates until it is completely phased out in October 2025.
“Customers have until January 31, 2023 to purchase Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro from this site,” a Microsoft official told the source, recommending customers to instead purchase Windows 11. Until Microsoft certifies otherwise, Windows 10 may still be available from other merchants and OEMs.
Windows 10 was released in 2015, and it will be phased out exactly ten years later.
