Microsoft has begun rolling out the Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming support to additional Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles, following a limited test in September. While the feature is still in beta, it is now available to a limited number of Xbox 360 owners in 25 markets. The company intends to expand the service to all Xbox systems in those regions in the coming weeks. To use the service, you’ll still need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but it’s no longer required to participate in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Insider programs.Microsoft envisions a few scenarios in which the ability to stream a game will be useful. To begin, it allows people to try out a Game Pass title without first downloading it. Similarly, it allows you to join a multiplayer game with your friends even if you don’t have that title installed. Finally, Xbox One owners will be able to play Xbox Series X/S titles such as The Medium and The Riftbreaker. You should still download your favorite games to your console for the best experience. If a Game Pass title has a cloud icon, you can stream it.
